2-axis screw compressor flow analysis

Introduction to a fluid analysis simulation of a two-axis screw compressor using SimericsMP+ and SCORG for thermal fluid analysis.

CFD allows for the shortening of product development periods, reduction of prototype costs, and acquisition of detailed data that is difficult to measure through experiments. In this article, we will introduce application examples using Simerics' CAE/CFD software that can be beneficial for product development. Two-axis screw compressors have applications in refrigeration and air conditioning-related fields, such as air conditioners and refrigerators. In the design process, a significant amount of cost and time must be spent on prototyping and experiments. With Simerics' CFD, high-performance thermal fluid analysis can be processed quickly through large-scale parallel computing, allowing for easy and rapid acquisition of results. Additionally, the cooling lubricant is analyzed using the VOF method, recreating conditions close to actual experiments. This is expected to significantly reduce man-hours and costs! There are still many reasons to use Simerics' CFD software. Please check the link below or feel free to contact us!
